With 4-2 Win, Lasers Improve to 51-40
|
Nashville beat Laredo in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Nashville Lasers earned a win at Lasers Ballpark, stopping the Laredo Ghosts, 4-2. Starting pitcher Arnold Novak played a big role in his team's success. John Shannon earned the save for Nashville, his 20th.
Pedro Rangel had a big run-scoring double for the Lasers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Nashville leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Cory Langan and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lasers ahead, 4-2.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Novak after the game.
With the victory, the Lasers record stands at 51-40.
