The Nashville Lasers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jon Olivares into a win. Instead, the Quebec Aces prevailed, 5-1. Olivares threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Quebec is in last place in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 39-48.

Danny Aranda drew 3 walks for Quebec. With two out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Aranda had a clutch at-bat. Facing Nashville hurler John Shannon, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Aces a 2-1 lead.
