Tailgators Walk It Off for 36th Win of Season
The Chesapeake Tailgators beat the Portland Mad Ants, 8-6, at Tailgators Ballpark. Chesapeake right fielder Jason Leuci had an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Tailgators saw their win-loss record go to 36-49. At the same time, the Mad Ants fell to 49-36.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Chesapeake trailing 6-5, Leuci jumped on a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Clark Estes and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Tailgators had a walk-off win.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Leuci.
