Nashville starter Jaden Melrose pitched well against the Montreal Royals at Lasers Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3, in 11 innings. The winner in relief was Mike Trivett. Nashville got a clutch hit from Hunter Long. The designated hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Melrose. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
