Brockman Helps Hartford Outscore Montreal
The Hartford Matadors topped the Montreal Royals, 14-11, in Stars Conference action at Ballpark of Tacoma. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hartford left fielder Brian Brockman. Hartford reliever Ricky Garay picked up the win. Alex Gomez, who is tied for 2nd in the SC in strikeouts with 101, took the loss for Montreal. The defeat makes Montreal 39-35.

Prince Sunderland, who is tied for 5th in the SC in triples with 3, aided the Hartford cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times.

In postgame comments to the Hartford Citizen, Sunderland said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
