Royals Upend Matadors, 4-2

Justin Baker, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in complete games with 1, was locked in. The left-hander led the Montreal Royals to a 4-2 win against the Hartford Matadors at Ballpark of Tacoma. Baker yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-5. Chase Harriger closed the game out for Montreal, earning his 4th save.
Montreal used the stroke of Justin Wardlaw to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Royals ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Wardlaw attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
The Royals, at 39-34, sit in third place in the Stars Conference East Division.
