Nashville Topples Little Rock, 6-3

The Nashville Lasers knocked off the Little Rock Governors, 6-3, in Stars Conference action at Lasers Ballpark. Nashville pitcher and Canberra, Australia, native Malcolm Slater had an outstanding performance. Scott Turner collected his 7th save. The Lasers now own a record of 40-29.
Bobby Roe had a big 2-run double for the Lasers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Nashville trailing 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Josh Monroe and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lasers ahead, 4-3.
Roe attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
