With 7-5 Win, Royals Improve to 33-30
|
Mike Odendahl made an impact in the 7-5 Montreal win over Chesapeake. Odendahl was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Frank Yanez earned the save for Montreal, his 5th. The win for the Royals lifted their record to 33-30.
Sam Salas came through for Montreal when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike sinker to right field, staking his team to a 6-5 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Montreal manager Bobby White.
