The Hartford Matadors beat the Little Rock Governors, 8-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Hartford shortstop Roy Blaylock had an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Gabe Vincent, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-4. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The first-place Matadors have won 5 consecutive games.
