The Portland Mad Ants topped the Nashville Lasers, 7-0, in Stars Conference action at Mad Ants Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Portland pitcher and Shelton, Connecticut, native Andy Baker. The Mad Ants now have a mark of 22-15.

Baker's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 1 hit. Baker, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in quality starts with 6, goes to 5-3 on the year with 59 strikeouts.
