Ghosts Come Up Short at Montreal, 4-3
Montreal Royals starter Ryan Arntz pitched well against the Laredo Ghosts at Turtles Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 4-3. In 7.2 innings, Arntz surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Evan Sippel got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Montreal designated hitter Mike Odendahl helped the Royals go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Odendahl hit a run-scoring single off Laredo pitcher John Brown.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Odendahl told a Montreal Today reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The Ghosts fall to 8-11 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 2025 season.
