The Little Rock Governors got a whale of a performance from pitcher Matt Rector, but the Portland Mad Ants still prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. Rector threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. With the loss, Little Rock falls to 7-11.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Chris Yost in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Tellez to win it for Portland and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Yost told a Portland Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
