Despite a fine performance by second baseman Kevin Cremo, the Hartford Matadors lost to the Nashville Lasers, 8-4. Cremo was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The victory makes Nashville 11-6, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2021.

Nashville used a clutch at-bat from Jose Duarte to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Lasers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Duarte told the Nashville Chronicle.
