Though the conditions were not ideal, the Fremont Marshalls and Montreal Canadiens came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Fremont Marshalls beat the Montreal Canadiens, 6-5, at Hedgehogs Park. Fremont left fielder Dave Reisinger, who is tied for 7th in the SC in stolen bases with 2, collected 3 singles and 1 double with 2 runs batted in. With the loss, Montreal is 5-11.

Had Jessie Cable not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Cable hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Marshalls.
