The Portland Mad Ants converted a terrific effort from starter Matt Parsons into a win over the Montreal Canadiens at Mad Ants Ballpark. The Mad Ants won the game by a final score of 5-2. Kevin Kovach was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The win puts Portland at 4-5.

Mike Henschel was a prime contributor to the Portland win. He was 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the 27-year old shortstop hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 4-2, in favor of the Mad Ants.

"Matt mixed and matched," said Portland manager Will Berman.
