Matadors Rally to Eke Out Win
The Hartford Matadors beat the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 6-5. Hartford left fielder Malcolm McKechnie deserved the lion's share of the credit. McKechnie went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Matadors. Everton Jackson finished the game for Hartford and earned his 3rd save. Hartford, with the win, is 4-2.

Hartford took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Dave Aschenbrener hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Matadors in front, 6-5.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Hartford manager Jesse Heugly.
