The Laredo Ghosts had to overcome a big game from Chesapeake left fielder Mark Riley to leave Tailgators Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 12-6. Riley was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner in relief was Atro Isokoski. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Laredo goes to 4-2.

Dayton, Ohio-born Brian Reott came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Ghosts trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Laredo on top.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Reott. "And not try to do too much."
