The Torpedoes wasted a history-making game from left fielder Matt Andrews, coming out on the wrong end of an unlikely 11-8 Buffalo Bellflowers victory. Andrews put on a massive display of power against Buffalo, smashing 4 home runs in 5 at-bats. "There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Andrews, "but it doesn't often work. Well, it worked today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be. I just wished it had included a win." The Long Island left fielder went 5-for-5, had 5 RBIs, and scored 5 times in the game. "That guy was basically unstoppable today," Bellflowers manager Andy Perez said later. "Thankfully, it's a team sport." Matt Andrews hit a solo-shot off Diego Cantu in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rodolfo Luna in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Rodolfo Luna in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Miguel Gastelum in the 9th.
