Mounties Make It 5 In a Row with 3-2 Triumph Over Buffalo

The Buffalo Bellflowers got a sterling performance from pitcher David Hernandez, but the Moncton Mounties still prevailed, 3-2. Hernandez threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner in relief was Tarjei Wiese. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 4-4. The third-place Mounties have won 5 in a row.
Moncton went up, 3-2, on Josh Napier's 18th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Napier hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Chris Hames shaking his head.
Napier called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
