Miami's Sachs Sidelined for Season Thursday, April 11th , 2024 A blow for Jim Sachs today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with a torn back muscle. Sachs suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Miami Hurricanes are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Sachs's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Sachs has pitched 13.2 innings and molded a 5.93 ERA with no saves. He has surrendered 17 hits while registering 16 strikeouts on his way to a 1-2 record for the Hurricanes this year. |
