DeMoss Fashions No-Hitter Against Demon Deacons
Saturday, March 30th , 2024
Jimmy DeMoss was just plain nasty on the mound, overpowering the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a complete game no-hitter.
The left-hander used his signature cutter to perfection as the Miami Hurricanes waltzed to an easy 10-0 win.
"He was what the kids call 'filthy,'" losing manager Steve Perez said later.
In a dominant performance, DeMoss faced 30 batters in all and finished the game with 12 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"After the first couple of innings, I knew I had some good stuff going," DeMoss said. "In the bullpen, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. But when I got out on the mound and flipped the switch, I had some pretty good stuff."
His record this season is 3-1 in 5 starts and DeMoss has a 1.36 ERA.
