Villegas Grabs SL2 Best Batter Award for April Saturday, May 1st , 2021 Willie Villegas put together a good April to earn the Conference 2 Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to West Virginia officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Mountaineers right fielder posted a .405 batting average with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 22 runs scored. So far this year, Villegas is hitting .385 with 14 home runs. |
