Williams Ups Hit Streak to 30 Consecutive Games Thursday, May 5th , 2022 Aaron Williams has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 18-year-old Purdue Boilermakers first baseman extended his streak to 30 games, going 3-for-4 as Purdue got the best of the Oregon Ducks at PK Park, 10-4. "Aaron has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Boilermakers manager Joey Manier said. Aaron Williams singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season, Williams is batting .383 with 11 home runs. |
