Pittsburgh's Blair to Miss Season
Monday, March 29th , 2021
The doctors have spoken and J.D. Blair of the Pittsburgh Panthers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Blair sustained his season-ending injury during the Purdue Boilermakers game yesterday at Charles L. Cost Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Pittsburgh medical staff reported Blair had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months.
