Driskel Rips Minnesota for 5 Hits Monday, March 25th , 2019 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Chad Driskel of the Stanford Cardinals had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 7-1 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 19-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Chad Driskel hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season Driskel has hit at a .397 clip and produced 11 RBI, 1 home run and 9 runs. |
