SL1 Awards Most Valuable Player Award, Dunaway Gets Prize

When it came to hitting the baseball, Greg Dunaway had few peers in the Conference 1 this year. The gifted center fielder for Nebraska tagged opposing pitchers for a .351 average and was voted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2025. Included in his season stats were 67 hits, 5 doubles, no triples, 19 home runs, 41 runs scored and 33 RBIs.

He received 52 first place votes out of a possible 56. Adam Davis of the Illinois Fighting Illini finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Justin Ottinger of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished third with 2 first place votes.
