Reliever of the Year Award Goes to Turner
Tuesday, June 6th , 2023
Mike Turner said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the West Virginia Mountaineers rising star has won the Conference 2 Reliever of the Year Award for 2023.

He captured the award on the strength of his 0.70 ERA over 25.2 innings. He also had no saves in 23 relief appearances, 25 strikeouts and only 12 walks.

He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 56. Edward Ness of the Iowa State Cyclones finished second in voting with 26 first place votes, while John Usher of the Florida Gators finished third.
