Alan Borrego Named SL2's Best Player Thursday, June 10th , 2021 The future looks extremely bright for Alan Borrego. At the age of 20, many players are still trying to find their way in ABA College. Borrego has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Conference 2 Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .392 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said. The Kansas Jayhawks star also put up a .500 on-base percentage this year, with 74 hits, 10 doubles, no triples, 21 home runs, 56 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He received 56 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Casey Kearney of the Oklahoma State Cowboys finished second in voting, while Brian Eller of the Georgia Bulldogs finished third.
