Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Routh Friday, April 21st , 2023 Baylor first baseman Corey Routh keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 2 hits at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears earned the 5-4 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Routh said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Corey Routh doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. At present, Routh is batting .324 with 45 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 19 runs and scored 28 times. |
