League Gives Hippler 3-Game Suspension Saturday, June 25th , 2022 Ken Hippler was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 3 games following a wild argument at the Huntsville-Santa Rosa game. The league cited the Rockets center fielder for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Hippler strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected. "Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call." So far this season, Hippler has hit .287 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 15 times. |
