Williams Extends Hit Streak to 42 Games Monday, June 13th , 2022 Phil Williams collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 42 games. His club, the Newark Flyers, beat the Glace Bay Miners, 5-0. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Williams quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Phil Williams struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th and singled in the 7th.
