Williams Has 41-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, June 11th , 2022 Phil Williams's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Newark. The 22-year-old first baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 41 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Tampa Capitals. The Flyers won the game, 4-1. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Phil Williams walked in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. In his season totals, Williams has 22 home runs, .395 BA, .463 OBP, 60 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 53 games. |
