Patterson Raps 3 Homers Against Storm Wednesday, June 8th , 2022 White Deer Tropics left fielder Ryan Patterson sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Lake Elsinore Storm, Patterson told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Patterson pushed the Tropics past the Storm, 16-7. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Patterson told reporters after the game. Ryan Patterson hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th. Patterson is hitting .210 so far this season with 39 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 43 hits including 13 home runs, 25 walks and .307 OBP. |
