Tampa Loses Pinto for Year Saturday, June 4th , 2022 The season is ending on a bad note for Danny Pinto, third baseman for the Tampa Capitals. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Pinto was hurt against the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks while colliding with a player at a base. He suffered a fractured ankle and will be out for at least 4-5 months. For the year, Pinto is batting .292 with 66 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 30 times and driven in 30. |
