Williams Hit Streak Soars to 32 Games Tuesday, May 31st , 2022 Phil Williams of the Newark Flyers has now hit safely in 32 straight games. He socked 1 hit in today's 5-2 triumph over Grand Rapids at Jet Hawks Ballpark. "32 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Williams said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Phil Williams flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the year, Williams has hit .400 with 19 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 42 runs. |
