Castillo 5-for-6 Against Cannonballers Tuesday, May 24th , 2022 It was a good day for the Jet Hawks at Cannonballers Ballpark as they clipped the Cottage City Cannonballers, 17-6. It was tremendous day for Ernesto Castillo, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Grand Rapids first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Ernesto Castillo hit a two-run home run off Jose Chavez in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
