Thrice Is Nice: Green Unloads 3 Homers Wednesday, April 12th , 2023 Sam Green was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 8-5 Barrie Admirals triumph at Ballpark of Columbus. The 23-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Admirals past the Columbus Bowsers. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Green told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Sam Green hit a solo-shot off Adam Matthews in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Adam Matthews in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Eric Hayes in the 9th. This season, Green is batting .467 with 5 home runs. He has scored 11 runs and driven in 10. |
