Long Beach Blanked by Sauer, 9-0 Monday, April 29th , 2019 Dollywood Partons starter Scott Sauer really did a number on the Long Beach Keys today, shutting them out 9-0 on 4 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had no strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Long Beach manager Blake Barber. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Sauer." This season Sauer has 4 wins and 1 loss and a 2.86 ERA. |
