Mayes Hurls Blue Jays to Shutout Victory Monday, April 26th , 2021 St. Catharines Blue Jays starter Mike Mayes really did a number on the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, shutting them out, 8-0, on 1 hit in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 10 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Grand Rapids manager Sadayuki Nishikawa. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show.
