Jeff Ciervo Nabs Best Player Trophy
Friday, October 18th , 2024
The manager of the Mexico City Aztecs said he thinks Jeff Ciervo is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 23, but it will be hard to top the first baseman's 2024 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Southern A Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .335 batting average and a .431 on-base percentage this year. In 131 games he piled up 167 hits, 36 doubles, 2 triples, 38 home runs, 125 RBIs and 109 runs scored.
He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brent Mallinson of the Mexico City Aztecs finished second in voting, while Colby Freese of the Dollywood Partons finished third.
