DeLaet Tops N-A Best Player List Friday, October 18th , 2024 Matt DeLaet of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2024. The 23-year-old first baseman put up a .354 average and a .431 on-base percentage, piling up 174 hits, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 36 home runs, 142 RBIs and 105 runs scored. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 24. Isaiah Bunton of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Dale Coffey of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks finished third.
