Weese Voted N-A Pitcher of the Year Award Thursday, October 22nd , 2026 It was a glorious year for Larry Weese of the Glace Bay Miners. He finished the season with 15 victories and only 6 losses, with an impressive 2.70 ERA. The talented Miners pitcher started 28 games and struck out 132 batters in 166.2 innings and won the Northern A Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Weese said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 24. Troy Conner of the Glace Bay Miners finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Eunice Bamberg of the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks finished third.
