Rockets Pilot Roller Picked as N-A's Best Wednesday, October 21st , 2026 Huntsville Rockets field manager Alec Roller has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Rockets parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a first place spot in the Northern A West Division standings. Huntsville finished the year with a 89-51 record. To everybody's delight Roller was voted the 2026 Northern A Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Roller doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
