St. Catharines Moves on to League Championship Series Friday, September 18th , 2026 The St. Catharines Blue Jays "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Division Series and eliminating the Huntsville Rockets, according to series MVP Gavin Williams. "This is the big stage, we're off to the League Championship Series and looking towards the World Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." St. Catharines won the final game 4-1, to wrap up the series 4-2. Williams led his team to the series win by putting up a .385 average, with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs. The St. Catharines Blue Jays will play against the Glace Bay Miners in the next round.
