Best S-A Reliever Named Monday, October 16th , 2023 Sean Hill was a calming influence out of the Dollywood Partons bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Southern A Reliever of the Year Award for 2023. The Bluefield, Virginia native won the award with 23 saves in 37 relief appearances, 81 strikeouts in 76.2 innings and a record of 3-0 to go with his 2.00 ERA. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 24. Scott Sauer of the Dollywood Partons finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Jerardo Perez of the Barrie Admirals finished third with 6 first place votes.
