Nashua Stops Melo Hit Streak Friday, August 29th , 2025 The Nashua Sweepers clamped down on Alex Melo and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 24 straight games, but it didn't keep the Aztecs from winning. Mexico City downed the Sweepers, 8-4. "It was bound to happen," Melo said with a shrug after the game. In 103 games this season, Melo is batting .307 with 134 hits and 25 home runs. He has scored 75 runs and driven in 68. |
