5-for-6 Day for Mallinson Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 No matter what the White Deer Tropics threw at him, Brent Mallinson hit it. He easily handled Tropics pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Aztecs triumph, 11-7, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Mallinson's quip, Tropics skipper Brendan Rees said he "would take him up on that next time." Brent Mallinson singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Nate Roberson in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
