Lumberjacks Gavin Raps 3 Homers

Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Lumberjacks-Sweepers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Bangor center fielder Ken Gavin thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Bangor to a win, 12-2, over Louisville.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Gavin said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Gavin, who is tied for 2nd in the S-A in RBI with 102, was 5-for-5 on the day with 5 runs batted in.
Ken Gavin hit a two-run home run off Daniel Williams in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Williams in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Mark Kurzawski in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season, Gavin has recorded a .308 batting average with 145 hits, 33 home runs, 102 RBIs, 85 runs scored and a .371 OBP.
