Sunday, July 27th , 2025
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Comets-Storm game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Kalamazoo first baseman Miguel Garcia thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Kalamazoo to a win, 9-3, over Lake Elsinore.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Garcia said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Garcia was 3-for-4 on the day with 7 runs batted in.
Miguel Garcia grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Felix Acosta in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Manny Padilla in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Willie Lopez in the 7th.
In the current season, Garcia has put up a .368 batting average with 25 hits, 6 home runs, 19 runs batted in and scored 15 runs.
