Southern A West Division Champs Crowned: Mexico City Aztecs Thursday, August 29th , 2024 Russ McKenzie said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Mexico City Aztecs teammates were so excited to celebrate their Southern A West Division championship today. "It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing." That belief has paced the club to a 98-36 record on the season. It is the club's 5th Southern A West Division championship and puts them in position for their 1st ABA Class A championship. "It's a talented bunch in that room," manager Tony Velez said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us." |
