3-HR Binge for Geltz Against Cottage City Tuesday, August 25th , 2026 Ray Geltz went on an explosive hitting spree against the Cottage City Cannonballers at Cannonballers Ballpark, launching a trio of blasts to help the Glace Bay Miners win, 11-7. The right fielder finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 8 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Geltz said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Cottage City skipper said Geltz was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Ray Geltz struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Gerardo Mendoza in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jaden Cornelius in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dae-jin Lee in the 8th. So far this year, Geltz has hit .321 with 25 home runs, 74 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
